RADIOLOGIC IMAGING SPECIALIST

General Overview:

This position is an integral part of the Genesis clinical team, primarily focused on X-Ray and Fluoroscopic imaging to support our healthcare professionals in diagnosing injuries.

Additional responsibilities will encompass various clinical and administrative tasks.

Growth Potential:

For those interested, there will be opportunities to expand knowledge and skills in extremity MRI, enhancing professional development.


Electronic Medical Records:
Familiarity with Epic is advantageous, though not mandatory.

Language Skills:
Proficiency in English; Spanish is a plus but not essential.

Working Hours: 8:00am-4:30pm, Monday through Thursday

Job Classification:
Part-time

Key Responsibilities:
1. Engage patients in the Genesis Experience through exceptional and personalized care.
2. Prepare patients for imaging and perform imaging procedures (MRI, X-Ray, Fluoroscopy).
3. Room patients and gather patient information through interviews, vital signs, and documentation in the EMR system.
4. Assist with clinical and medical tasks, including injection preparation, wound care, and instruction in pre- and post-operative care.
5. Relay physician or physician assistant instructions to patients regarding their care.
6. Manage triage phone calls.

Educational Background:
Degree in radiologic technology.

Certifications:

ARRT certification is required within six months of employment, along with licensure from the Illinois Department of Nuclear Safety.


Experience:
Relevant experience as an X-ray technician is preferred. Familiarity with medical assistant responsibilities and orthopedic practices is advantageous.

EMR Experience:
1 year with Epic (Preferred)

Language Proficiency:
English, Spanish (Preferred, not required)

License/Certification:
ARRT Certification (Required)
