Neurodiagnostic Technologist Position in Acute Hospital Setting

Avera McKennan- Hospital is seeking an experienced Neurodiagnostic/EEG Technologist to join our multidisciplinary team. As a key member of our healthcare staff, you will play a pivotal role in conducting EEG studies and ensuring optimal patient care in an acute hospital setting.
Salary and BenefitsThe actual hourly rate for this position is dependent upon experience. Avera offers competitive pay, a full benefits package including education reimbursement, a 5% 401-k company match, and wellness/corporate discounts.
Job DescriptionIn this role, you will be responsible for scheduling STAT and Routine EEGs, as well as continuous long term monitoring EEG studies in an Acute Hospital setting for all age groups. You will also initiate proper interventions based upon interpretation of changes in the patient's condition and extract relevant information from the patient's chart.
You will calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot medical and general support equipment. Additionally, you will complete testing for reports, charging procedures, prepare patient rooms, stock supplies, and contact supervisory staff when appropriate.
Required Skills and Qualifications- Graduation from an accredited school of EEG/ EEG/Neurodiagnostics Technology.
- Registration in EEG (R. EEG T.) or evoke potentials (R. EP T.) from the American Board of Registration of Electroneurodiagnostic Technologist is required within two years of accepting the position.

Additional InformationThis is a Monday to Friday position with 8am-5pm hours, with other shift scheduling options available. The call is every 4th week/weekend, with call pay and weekend and evening/night differential pay included.
