Job Overview

Avera McKennan- Hospital is seeking an experienced Neurodiagnostic / EEG Technologist to join our multidisciplinary team in a highly impactful role.


About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting EEG studies, ensuring optimal patient care, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality neurological care.


Responsibilities
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm, with other shift scheduling options available. Call pay and weekend/ evening differential pay also offered.
  • Performing STAT and Routine EEGs, and continuous long term monitoring EEG studies in an Acute Hospital setting for all age groups. Scheduled Outpatient EEG studies for pediatrics and adults.
  • Initiating proper interventions based upon interpretation of changes in the patient's condition and extracting relevant information from the patient's chart.
  • Calibrating, maintaining, and troubleshooting medical and general support equipment.
  • Completing testing for reports, charging procedures, preparing patient rooms, stocking supplies, and contacting supervisory staff when necessary.

Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited school of EEG/ EEG/Neurodiagnostics Technology.
  • Registration in EEG (R. EEG T.) or evoke potentials (R. EP T.) from the American Board of Registration of Electroneurodiagnostic Technologist required within two years of accepting the position.

Salary Range

The estimated salary for this position is between $45,000 and $65,000 per year, depending on experience.
