Job Summary

United Materials is seeking a highly motivated and dependable individual to join our team as a Yard Laborer. This role is responsible for maintaining the grounds and performing general upkeep of our site.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lawn Maintenance: Perform regular lawn maintenance tasks, including mowing, trimming, and edging, to ensure a professional appearance.
  • General Upkeep: Conduct general maintenance tasks inside and outside the site, including cleaning, repairing, and replacing equipment and facilities.
  • Assistance: Assist loader and drivers with tasks such as pouring concrete blocks, breaking down forms, and moving blocks to designated areas.
  • Secondary Loader Operator: Serve as a secondary loader operator as needed, ensuring the safe and efficient operation of equipment.
  • Forklift Operation: Operate a forklift as needed, with certification and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Issue Reporting: Relay any maintenance and safety issues to the site supervisor in a timely and effective manner.
  • Mechanical Skills: Possess basic mechanical skills to perform routine maintenance and repairs.
Requirements
  • Self-Guided and Motivated: After training, this position will be self-guided, requiring a high level of motivation and dependability.
  • Physical Demands: Must be able to lift or move up to 60 pounds several times a day, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Work Schedule: Prescheduled Saturday and overtime work may be required on an as-needed basis.
