Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon

We are seeking a highly skilled Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon to join our team at the Veterans Affairs, Veterans Health Administration. As a key member of our dental team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and performing a wide range of maxillofacial surgical procedures.
Responsibilities- Perform complex dental extractions, dentoalveolar surgery, and other maxillofacial procedures
- Treat orofacial infections, trauma, and other conditions requiring surgical intervention
- Place osseointegrated implants and perform preprosthetic surgery
- Diagnose and treat temporomandibular dysfunction and other orofacial disorders
- Perform surgical reconstruction of acquired or developmental oral facial anomalies
- Treat functional impairments by surgical means, including rhinoplasty, septoplasty, and blepharoplasty
- Treat cosmetic defects resulting from service trauma
- Treat orthognathic deformities and perform grafting procedures
- Board certification or board eligibility in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (OMS)
- Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree and completion of an ADA-accredited training program
- Experience in performing a wide range of maxillofacial surgical procedures, including dental implants, orthognathic surgery, and facial trauma
- Strong clinical skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients and colleagues
This is a full-time position with a regular schedule. The selected candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment and be able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
