Job Opportunity

Extant Healthcare is seeking a highly skilled Trauma Surgeon to join our team at Chippenham Hospital. With over 16 years of experience in trauma management, our group has established a reputation for excellence in patient care.

Trauma Program Highlights:

  • Our 793-bed facility is a Level I (State of VA) & ACS Level II trauma center, providing comprehensive care to patients with complex injuries.
  • We have a robust trauma service, with two trauma surgeons on duty per day and a night surgeon in-house, ensuring 24/7 coverage.
  • Our trauma service covers acute care surgery, and we have a high volume of trauma cases, with 90% blunt and 10% penetrating injuries.
  • We are proud to be starting a General Surgery Residency program in 2024, further solidifying our commitment to training the next generation of surgeons.

Requirements:

  • Board Eligible / Certified General Surgery with Trauma/ Surgical Critical Care Fellowship Required
