Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Cook to join our team at the Good Samaritan Society. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and presentation of high-quality meals for our residents and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and direct a team of cooks and kitchen staff to ensure efficient and effective food preparation and service.
  • Develop and implement menus that meet the dietary needs and preferences of our residents and staff.
  • Ensure that all food is prepared and presented to the highest standards of quality, safety, and sanitation.
  • Manage inventory and supplies to minimize waste and optimize resources.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service and high-quality food presentation.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; culinary degree or certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, with a proven track record of success in food preparation and service.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a team.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures, with the ability to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to customer service and quality.
