We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Patient Care Coordinator to join our team at AEG. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient service and ensuring a smooth experience for our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Welcome and acknowledge patients, customers, and vendors in a friendly and welcoming manner
  • Answer and respond to telephone inquiries in a professional and timely manner
  • Schedule appointments and gather patient and insurance information
  • Verify and enter patient demographics into our electronic medical record (EMR) system
  • Maintain a clear understanding of insurance plans and communicate insurance information to patients
  • Pull schedules to ensure insurance eligibility prior to patient appointments and ensure files are complete
  • Prepare insurance claims and run reports to ensure all charges are billed and filed
  • Collect and document all charges, co-pays, and payments into EMR
  • Allocate balances to insurance as needed
  • Maintain a clean workspace and practice economy in the use of resources, equipment, and supplies
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Basic computer literacy
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Ability to maintain patient and practice confidentiality
