About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Engineer to join our Energetics and Propulsion Department in Tucson, Arizona. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing advanced fuzing technologies and concepts for integration into missile systems and space vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop highly advanced fuzing technologies and concepts for integration into missile systems and space vehicles
  • Collaborate with program management on long-range program planning and review manufacturing processes
  • Manage fuzing device development projects and propulsion subcontracts
  • Provide frontline lead activities and mentor engineers who develop fuzing devices
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) or related degree and 8 years of prior relevant experience
  • 8 years or more of experience in fuzing / one shots / engineering technology and/or engineering design
  • Experience with fuzing devices design, manufacturing, testing, safety certification and/or compliance
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date
Preferred Qualifications
  • MS in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Math, or related science degree
  • Ten years or more of directly related experience in fuzing devices and their applications
  • Systems knowledge to assure full development of fuzing device requirements and dissemination and flow down to subcomponent levels
