Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Tech to join our team at WMCHealth. As a Mental Health Tech, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and support in our mental health setting.

Responsibilities

  • Hygiene and Grooming: Assist patients with daily hygiene and grooming tasks, including bathing, oral care, and dressing, while maintaining a safe and clean environment.
  • Mobility and Nutrition: Support patients with mobility and nutrition needs, including ambulation, repositioning, and feeding, while ensuring their comfort and safety.
  • Communication and Vital Signs: Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure quality patient outcomes, and record vital signs, including temperature, pulse, blood pressure, and respirations.
  • Rounds and Safety Checks: Perform regular unit rounds and safety checks to ensure patients' comfort and safety needs are met, and report any concerns to the RN and/or LPN staff.
  • Cleanliness and Organization: Maintain a clean and organized patient and unit environment, including bedmaking and stocking supplies and linen.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent education/experience, with experience in the mental health field preferred.
  • Licenses/Certifications: CNA certification preferred.
