Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Worker to join our team at Allied Services. As a key member of our residential care team, you will play a vital role in providing support and care to individuals with mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement assigned programming to residents in a manner appropriate to their age-specific needs.
  • Carry out duties with a focus on promoting the physical and emotional well-being of residents.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with residents, staff, and external agency personnel.
  • Ensure a safe and supportive environment for residents, adhering to established company and program policies and procedures.
  • Participate in crisis intervention and emergency response situations as needed.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • College courses in the Humanities or Social Sciences preferred.
  • Two years of experience working with mentally handicapped individuals preferred.
  • CPR certification and First Aid certification must be obtained and maintained.
  • Valid PA driver's license required for driving of program vans.
  • Ability to work flexible scheduled work time and rotate throughout CRRP work sites.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, as well as interpersonal skills, are essential for effective communication with staff, management, residents, and external agency personnel.
Working Conditions

This role involves working in a residential setting for mentally ill adults, both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions and seasons. Occupational exposure to blood or other potentially infectious materials is a potential hazard of this position.
