Mental Health Support Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Mental Health Worker to join our team at Allied Services. As a key member of our residential care team, you will play a vital role in providing support and care to individuals with mental health needs.
Key Responsibilities- Implement assigned programming to residents in a manner appropriate to their age-specific needs.
- Carry out duties with a focus on promoting the physical and emotional well-being of residents.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with residents, staff, and external agency personnel.
- Ensure a safe and supportive environment for residents, adhering to established company and program policies and procedures.
- Participate in crisis intervention and emergency response situations as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- College courses in the Humanities or Social Sciences preferred.
- Two years of experience working with mentally handicapped individuals preferred.
- CPR certification and First Aid certification must be obtained and maintained.
- Valid PA driver's license required for driving of program vans.
- Ability to work flexible scheduled work time and rotate throughout CRRP work sites.
- Good written and verbal communication skills, as well as interpersonal skills, are essential for effective communication with staff, management, residents, and external agency personnel.
This role involves working in a residential setting for mentally ill adults, both indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions and seasons. Occupational exposure to blood or other potentially infectious materials is a potential hazard of this position.
