Key Responsibilities
  • Interview and profile customers to recommend appropriate banking products and services.
  • Identify and capitalize on sales opportunities to cross-sell bank products and services to new and existing customers.
  • Generate new business to support bank profitability and branch goals.
  • Manage consumer and business checking, savings, CDs, IRAs, and Trust & Estate Accounts.
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of bank products and services.
  • Process teller transactions as needed and maintain an excellent balancing record.
  • Model exemplary customer service and resolve difficult situations with creativity, tact, and diplomacy.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 2 years banking teller experience is required.
  • Experience with opening consumer accounts and basic business accounts is required.
  • Strong customer relations skills and the ability to communicate and work well with employees and customers in a cooperative, positive manner.
  • Working knowledge of basic banking regulations such as BSA and Information Security.
  • Excellent judgment and the ability to accept responsibility and handle confidential information.
  • Proficiency in using Word, Excel, and Outlook applications and banking programs.
