About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at Vail Health. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

Responsibilities
  • Assist providers with patient care, maintaining patient records, and completing administrative duties.
  • Obtain, monitor, and record vital signs, patient history, and invasive procedures.
  • Field patient phone calls and respond to inquiries in a professional manner.
  • Assist with examinations, procedures, and other processes related to direct patient care.
  • Prepare patients for scheduled procedures, including venipunctures, injections, and intravenous therapy.
  • Monitor patient medical conditions and report changes to providers.
  • Maintain patient documentation and communicate plans of care with providers.
  • Ensure cleanliness, adequate stock of supplies, and functioning equipment in examination rooms.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in patient care and administrative duties.
  • Ability to perform venipunctures, administer injections, and initiate intravenous therapy.
  • Basic knowledge of medical terminology, medical equipment, HIPAA compliance, and OSHA rules and regulations.
  • Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), or National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA).
