Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Retail Sales Associate to join our team at Smart Foodservice Stores LLC. As a key member of our sales floor team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and organized store environment, and achieving sales goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide fast, easy, and efficient service to customers, ensuring a positive shopping experience.
  • Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including the sales floor, front end, and restrooms.
  • Assist customers in finding products, answering questions, and resolving issues.
  • Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently, handling cash, credit card transactions, and returns.
  • Restock shelves, maintain inventory levels, and ensure products are properly labeled and displayed.
  • Participate in visual merchandising and store displays to create an attractive and engaging shopping environment.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to achieve sales goals, promote products, and drive customer engagement.
  • Perform opening and closing duties, including counting cash, processing transactions, and securing the store.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 6-12 months retail cashier and/or stocking experience required.
  • Minimum one year retail selling and/or customer service experience preferred.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including holidays and weekends.
  • Basic computer skills and proficiency in using general office equipment.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and push/pull objects up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to stand for long periods, walk, and move throughout the store.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a retail or customer service role.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic math skills and ability to handle cash accurately.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Work Environment

The work environment is fast-paced and dynamic, with a focus on providing exceptional customer service and achieving sales goals. The store is open to the public, and the noise level can be moderate. The temperature varies throughout the store, ranging from -10 to 85 degrees.

The job requires standing for long periods, walking, and moving throughout the store. The ability to lift, carry, and push/pull objects up to 50 pounds is also required.

The work schedule is flexible, with the ability to work holidays and weekends. The job requires basic computer skills and proficiency in using general office equipment.

The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, customer-focused, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
