As a Project Manager, you will perform integration planning and interface to other functional groups. This role will develop, maintain, and report on project plans and schedules, as well as implement project controls.
You will manage a technical team, lead communications with clients and stakeholders, and ensure successful completion of all project tasks and deliverables with technical team support.
- Plan, schedule, and track projects assigned.
- Gather and consolidate project requests as appropriate in coordination with the federal Portfolio Coordinator (or contractor leadership team).
- Develop project plan(s) appropriate to the size, scope, complexity, and nature of the assigned project(s), and submit it for review and approval by the government.
- Execute approved internal/external projects to meet defined milestones by planning, scheduling, budgeting, tracking, and utilizing existing ENS tools in accordance with the approved project plan.
- Enhance project management toolsets, methodologies, and practices to ensure processes and guidance are current and written in plain language terminology.
- Submit project-specific status reports that provide a thorough and detailed status of the projects' health and schedules.
- Prepare agendas and related documents; conduct/lead presentations (including training) with end users, key managers, and program leadership to ensure that customer is kept informed.
- Integrate project level status reporting according to the Portfolio Coordinator project reporting standards, investigating specific performance issues and communicate early warning signs of troubled projects, enforces consistent performance reporting guidelines so each project reports performance consistently.
- Identify project level milestones and integrate them into an overall project level plan according to the Portfolio Support project plan template.
- Deliver a risk register for all current projects, to ensure project risks are identified, documented, and monitored/managed appropriately.
- Engage cross functionally with branch chiefs, branch subject matter experts (SMEs), and appropriate stakeholders to create and document project management-related approved branch decisions, process documentation, and related artifacts, to include Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), briefings, reports, etc.
Experience with the following:
- Project Management Tools: Service Now, Microsoft Project, Microsoft SharePoint.
- Strong written and oral communication skills in the English language.
- Contractor personnel performing in a leadership capacity shall be capable of directing contractor personnel and interfacing with the Government and customers.
- Strong time-management and prioritization skills.
- Ability to communicate applicable technical subject matter expertise to management and others.
- ITIL v4 foundation knowledge.
- Ability to apply and provide feedback on service operation model and practices.
- PMP Certified preferred.
