Job Title: EHS Director

Join Area Wide Protective (AWP) as we seek an experienced EHS Director to lead our Business Unit's environmental, health, and safety initiatives. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing effective EHS strategies, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and fostering a culture of safety within our organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement EHS policies, procedures, and programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor EHS performance, identify areas for improvement, and provide guidance and support to employees.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement EHS training programs, ensuring all employees are equipped to work safely and effectively.
  • Investigate and analyze EHS incidents, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with regulatory agencies, ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
  • Provide EHS guidance and support to employees, ensuring they have the necessary resources and training to perform their jobs safely and effectively.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health and Safety or a related field.
  • 12+ years of experience in EHS, with a minimum of 5-8 years in a leadership role.
  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or equivalent certification.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing effective EHS strategies, resulting in improved safety performance and reduced risk.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
