Position: Bilingual IT Support Specialist for Japanese Systems

I. Overview
  • Accountable for the support and implementation of software and hardware interfaces for production and home-office operations in Japan, including AS400, MC Frames, and specialized Japanese applications.
  • Responsibilities include managing global systems associated with the Japan headquarters, developing new solutions, and working closely with local IT teams.
  • Reports to Operations, Executive Management, and IT teams in Japan as necessary.
II. Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and execute maintenance and enhancement procedures for AS400, MC Frames, and global information systems software and hardware.
  • Independently prepare for internal and external audits, ensuring adherence to relevant regulations.
  • Develop contingency strategies based on business needs.
III. Required Qualifications:
  • Qualifications:
  • Capability to lift up to 50lbs.
  • Proficient in Windows Operating System and AS400.
  • Understanding of network and system architecture, coding basics, along with strong communication abilities.
  • Fluent in Japanese and knowledgeable about various software and hardware.
  • Training in MC Frames, AS400 systems, and IT specific to Japan.
  • Education:
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Experience:
  • At least 5 years in computer systems maintenance or comparable skills.
  • 2 years of relevant experience, including Microsoft networking, TCP/IP, PC support, Active Directory, Cisco switching, and AS400.
  • Experience with Japanese language and cultural context.
