Key Responsibilities- Supervise the analysis of specifications to visualize products and ensure conformance to quality standards.
- Coordinate the planning and execution of tool and die design, construction, and assembly operations.
- Review and approve tool designs for new tooling and estimate tool costs.
- Verify the conformance of machined parts to specifications and ensure the quality of finished products.
- Develop and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and productivity.
- Lead and motivate a team of tool and die makers to achieve production goals and objectives.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to ensure smooth production operations.
- Develop and maintain a safe and healthy work environment, adhering to company safety policies and procedures.
- High school diploma or equivalent and at least 7 years of Tool and Die experience.
- Minimum of three years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a team.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to make informed decisions.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and contribute to a positive and productive work culture.
- Previous experience with E-PAC, MASTERCAM, Solid Works, or SAP.
- Associate degree in a related field, such as metallurgy or engineering.
- Experience with estimating project costs and developing budgets.
- Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus.
Able to occasionally lift up to 30 pounds to waist level. Occasionally pushes and/or pulls up to 30 pounds. Occasionally bends and stoops. Must be able to on occasion withstand a minimum of 2 to 3 hours drawing sketches or doing modifications. Must wear applicable and proper protective equipment including, but not limited to protective eye and/or hearing equipment to safely perform job duties. Will occasionally be exposed to chemicals, dust, heat, cold, gas, and/or fumes. Must be able to adjust to normal plant environmental conditions (above moderate heat and cold) and to adapt quickly to physical applications requiring varying motor skills.
