Job Purpose: To provide individualized support to migrant students in completing their college applications, focusing on the personal statement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work one-on-one with migrant students to develop and refine their personal statements for college applications.
- Assist students in researching and selecting colleges that align with their goals and interests.
- Help students navigate the college application process, including essay writing, recommendation letters, and transcript requests.
- Provide guidance on college essay writing techniques, including brainstorming, outlining, and editing.
- Facilitate access to resources and support services to ensure students' success in the college application process.
Requirements:
- Experience working with migrant students or in a similar educational setting.
- Strong understanding of the college application process and essay writing requirements.
