Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Court Reporter-Electronic or Steno to join our team at the State of Montana. As a Court Reporter-Electronic or Steno, you will be responsible for accurately recording and transcribing court proceedings, depositions, and other legal events.

Key Responsibilities
  • Record and transcribe court proceedings, depositions, and other legal events with high accuracy and speed.
  • Operate electronic recording equipment and software to capture and store audio and video recordings.
  • Transcribe recorded material into written form, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Review and edit transcriptions for accuracy and quality.
  • Maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive information.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Completion of a court reporting program or equivalent experience.
  • Proficiency in electronic recording equipment and software.
  • Excellent communication and transcription skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
Working Conditions

This is a full-time position that requires working in a courtroom or other legal setting. The successful candidate will be required to work independently and as part of a team, and will be expected to maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality at all times.
