About the Role

The Lead Housekeeper is a key member of the Environmental Services team at Avera, responsible for providing guidance and coordination to staff in the department. This role requires a high level of attention to detail and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and supervise a team of housekeeping staff to ensure efficient and effective cleaning and maintenance of patient areas.
  • Develop and implement cleaning schedules and protocols to ensure high standards of cleanliness and infection control.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless delivery of services and maintain a positive working relationship with colleagues.
  • Monitor and report on cleaning and maintenance activities to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and Avera's quality standards.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • At least two years of experience in environmental services or a related field.
  • Proven leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to motivate and direct a team.
Work Schedule

The Lead Housekeeper will work a Monday-to-Friday schedule, with occasional weekend and holiday shifts. The role will also require occasional on-call duties.

Compensation

The hourly rate for this position is $21.25 per hour, with opportunities for career growth and professional development.
