Job Overview

We are seeking a highly organized and analytical Business Analyst/Project Coordinator to join our team at West Coast Logistics. This dynamic role will merge business analysis with project coordination, providing a unique opportunity to work in the energy sector and support cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities
  • Business Analyst Responsibilities:
    • Support the development and implementation of IT solutions, aligning technology with business opportunities.
    • Elicit, evaluate, and document business and functional requirements for various initiatives.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to improve business processes and systems by integrating technology solutions.
    • Analyze data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to improve business operations.
    • Assist in creating prototypes, wireframes, and detailed use cases to visualize solutions for business applications.
    • Participate in testing, training, and implementation of business solutions to ensure smooth rollouts.
    • Provide documentation for business processes, functional architecture, and integration points based on business needs.
  • Project Coordination Responsibilities:
    • Coordinate project tasks, ensuring all stakeholders remain aligned and that projects stay on schedule.
    • Organize and maintain project documentation, including meeting minutes, project notes, and action item tracking.
    • Assist with project management duties, ensuring timely updates and the completion of key deliverables.
    • Prepare and distribute project reports, memos, and related documentation to keep all team members informed.
    • Coordinate meetings, track action items, and facilitate communication between team members.
    • Support the organization of tasks and follow up with team members to ensure all assignments are on track.
    • Maintain accurate and detailed project records and ensure smooth information flow across teams.
Requirements
  • 2-3 years of experience in a Business Analyst or Project Coordinator role.
  • Project experience as either a business analyst or project coordinator.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate across diverse teams.
  • Analytical mindset with experience in data analysis and the ability to draw logical conclusions from large datasets.
  • Experience coordinating meetings, tracking action items, and maintaining project documentation.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience in the energy or oil and gas sector.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead tasks, manage relationships, and take initiative in project environments.
  • Familiarity with software implementation projects and documentation of business processes.
