Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist/Part Time to join our team at Henry Ford Health System. As a key member of our Nuclear Medicine department, you will be responsible for performing procedures using various isotopes for the evaluation of pathological entities as prescribed by a physician.

Key Responsibilities
  • Explain examination procedures to patients and prepare them for the examination.
  • Obtain additional information about patient medical history as necessary.
  • Prepare procedure rooms and replenish stock such as linen and related supplies.
  • Prepare prescribed radioactive isotopes for administration to patients.
  • Review clinical data on requisitions, analyze anatomical structures of patients, set up equipment, and perform Nuclear Medicine scans.
  • Manually control equipment to obtain proper diagnostic information for the area of the body being studied.
  • Prepare and set up sterile equipment, monitors, and supplies required for procedures.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent required.
  • Registered Nuclear Medicine Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) and/or The Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) required.
  • Must maintain required hours of continued medical education.
  • Healthcare Provider certification required (BCLS).
