We are seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at Henry Ford Health System. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will play a critical role in the diagnosis and treatment of various medical conditions.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare patients for nuclear medicine procedures, explaining the examination process and obtaining necessary medical history.
- Operate nuclear medicine equipment to obtain diagnostic images, utilizing independent judgment to determine appropriate imaging techniques and patient positioning.
- Prepare and administer radioactive isotopes to patients, following established protocols and safety procedures.
- Review clinical data and analyze anatomical structures to determine the best course of action for each patient.
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Registration as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) or The Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) is mandatory.
- Healthcare Provider certification (BCLS) is also required.
