Nuclear Medicine Imaging Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at Medical Specialty Clinic. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures using radioactive materials to help diagnose and treat various medical conditions.
Responsibilities- Perform MI SPECT diagnostic imaging procedures on appropriate anatomical regions according to department procedures and protocols.
- Locate and record internal elements of the body, and identify any anomalies indicative of disease, injury, or other medically significant conditions.
- Adjust equipment and calm patients to eliminate test artifacts.
- Monitor patients for potentially dangerous physical and emotional changes.
- Evaluate test results for clarity and accuracy.
- Review tests with peers and physician.
- Inform physicians of preliminary findings as requested according to department procedures.
- Distribute completed test results to physicians and service providers.
- Prepare diagnostic information for physician interpretation.
- Maintain patient charts, enter diagnosis and billing codes, log data into patient information systems, and update file systems for tests performed.
- Clean and sterilize equipment and workspace.
- Recognize equipment malfunctions and readjust equipment or write referrals for repair.
- Instruct patients in pretest preparation, answer questions, and explain procedures.
- Perform additional duties as required.
- Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine technology program.
- Clinical Nuclear Medicine Technologist background preferred.
- Valid ARRT(N) license or NMTCB.
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal needed.
- Ability to interact with client personnel and team members in an autonomous responsible, professional and ethical manner.
