Job Title: After-School Program Assistant

Commonpoint Queens is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing high-quality programs and services to the community. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an After-School Program Assistant.

Job Summary:

The After-School Program Assistant will support our Program Directors in delivering high-quality after-school programming for elementary-aged youth. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with youth, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to multitask.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the development and implementation of after-school programs, including activities, student participation, and supervision of youth and staff.
  • Provide coaching and support to program staff, ensuring a positive and inclusive environment for all participants.
  • Collaborate with staff, youth, parents, and community members to build strong relationships and promote program success.
  • Assist in planning and implementing youth development programming, including schedules, activities, and team-based projects.
  • Attend staff meetings and professional development training to stay up-to-date on best practices and industry trends.
Requirements:
  • Applicants pursuing a degree in Education, Social Work, or a related field are preferred.
  • Experience working with youth in an educational setting is required.
  • Ability to pass a background check and maintain confidentiality.
Work Environment:

This is a part-time position, working Monday-Friday, 2 pm-6:30 pm. Hours and days may vary. The salary range is $22-$25 per hour.
