Lead Structural Designer for Water and Wastewater Projects

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Structural Engineer to lead our project team in designing complex water and wastewater treatment facilities. As a key member of our College Station Water Design Center, you will be responsible for producing structural designs for various infrastructure projects, including clarifiers, process basins, filters, and other ancillary structures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead project teams in producing structural designs for water and wastewater treatment facilities
  • Complete structural design calculations for concrete, steel, and masonry
  • Oversee the development of construction drawings and 3D models
  • Coordinate with geotechnical subconsultants
  • Support construction projects
  • Assist the Structural Team Leader in managing and mentoring teams, coordinating schedules, monitoring budgets, and ensuring delivery of quality work products
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in civil or structural engineering from an ABET accredited program
  • 10 or more years of structural design experience
  • Professional Engineer Licensure (PE)
  • Technical competence in structural engineering design with concrete, masonry, and structural steel
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in civil or structural engineering
  • Registered Structural Engineer (SE)
  • Understanding of the structural complexities associated with water and wastewater treatment equipment and water bearing structures
  • Experience using Bluebeam
  • Familiarity with Autodesk Revit
  • Experience working with a diverse disciplinary team
