Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Maternal Fetal Medicine Outpatient Clinic. This role is ideal for individuals who thrive in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver exceptional patient care while ensuring a high level of customer service.
  • Facilitate the coordination of patient flow and provider schedules to optimize care delivery.
  • Conduct patient registration in accordance with clinic protocols.
  • Utilize the patient management system to track patient arrivals and manage accounts.
  • Prioritize patient rooming based on appointment schedules and arrival times.
  • Support licensed staff with non-financial components of the admission process.
  • Assist with patient escorts and necessary documentation.
  • Gather and record patient and family information, including biophysical and psychosocial data.
  • Report any abnormal findings to the registered nurse or healthcare provider.
  • Ensure requisitions are complete with clinical, demographic, billing, and payer details.
  • Monitor patient flow and adjust staffing as needed to minimize wait times.
Qualifications:
  • Certification as a Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) from the National Healthcareer Association is required.
  • Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) from the American Association of Medical Assistants is preferred.
  • Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification from the Texas Department of State and Health Services is required.
  • Experience in a healthcare setting or customer service environment is preferred.
  • Familiarity with outpatient clinic operations is advantageous.
