Job Title: Senior Geotechnical Engineer - Earthquake Engineering Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Geotechnical Engineer with expertise in earthquake engineering to join our team at ENGEO Incorporated.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will work on a wide range of challenging projects, including seismic hazard analysis, ground-response analysis, and ground-motion development for projects in the Western United States, New Zealand, Southeast Asia, and the Pacific.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform seismic analyses, including ergodic and non-ergodic seismic hazard, ground-response, and ground-motion development.
  • Lead seismic development of design recommendations for design and construction of private and public projects.
  • Effectively communicate and collaborate with clients, subcontractors, government agencies, project managers, and peers.
  • Assign increasingly complex tasks and projects.
Requirements:
  • Thorough knowledge of earthquake engineering, including ground motion models, seismic source characterization, and ergodic and non-ergodic seismic hazard analysis.
  • Working knowledge of the software program HAZ45 or equivalent.
  • Coding capability in Python and/or Matlab.
  • Fundamental knowledge of geotechnical engineering or willingness and ability to learn.
Education:
  • M.S. degree in a relevant field, PhD preferred.
  • Proficiency in GIS experience a plus.
  • Robust writing and communicative skills.

ENGEO Incorporated is a dynamic and diverse environment, and the successful candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

We offer a competitive salary range of $90,000 - $110,000.
