Senior Physical Security Technology Architect

Job Summary:

The Physical Security Technology Architect will be responsible for leading the end-to-end architectural design of complex systems, partnering with cross-functional Architects and Engineers to ensure solutions meet scalability, performance, and maintainability requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop high-level architectural documentation, including diagrams, blueprints, and technical specifications to communicate complex technical ideas to a technical and non-technical audience.
  • Provide technology direction and vision for the Corporate Security Department, coaching and mentoring non-architect technical team members.
  • Review and approve non-standard work to ensure compliance with architectural standards, tracking any exceptions.
  • Establish technology strategies and roadmaps to enable a multiyear technology portfolio in support of current and future business and technology capabilities.
  • Active participation in the planning of the Corporate Security Value Stream and portfolio budget to ensure prioritization and alignment with short-term and long-term technology roadmaps.

Requirements:

  • Experience in working on large-scale projects with a focus on quality, performance, and maintainability.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms, containerization technologies, and on-premises server/hardware deployments.
  • Understanding of the principles, processes, and technologies involved in designing, developing, and deploying enterprise-level technology systems.
  • In-depth knowledge of networking protocols, routing, switching, and security principles.
  • Strong knowledge of cybersecurity best practices, risk management, and the ability to protect critical infrastructure and data.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced certifications in relevant technologies.
  • Experience working with ESRI, Bluebeam, or CAD platforms.
  • Experience with Genetec and/or AMAG.
  • Experience working in the utility industry.
