Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr. Research Nurse to join our team at Johns Hopkins University. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and implementing clinical trials within our research program, working closely with the healthcare team to ensure seamless protocol requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Anticipate research requirements for designated patient populations, collaborate in the development and writing of protocols and consent forms, and apply knowledge of study design to evaluate new protocols.
  • Pre-study: Evaluate new protocols for clarity, thoroughness, logistical feasibility, and subject safety, and assess the impact on and availability of resources for assigned clinical trials.
  • Pre-initiation: Collaborate in the determination of roles and responsibilities of healthcare team members, design appropriate methods for data collection, and oversee the development of study tools.
  • Recruitment and Enrollment: Ensure initial and ongoing eligibility of all subjects for assigned research studies, collaborate in the development of recruitment strategies, and evaluate the effectiveness of nursing care.
  • Quality Assurance: Evaluate outcomes of clinical trials, monitor study team compliance with required study procedures and GCP standards, and perform ongoing data analysis.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or related discipline.
  • Two years of experience in the specialty or a related area.
  • Registered nurse, licensed in the State of MD or state where practicing.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's Degree.
