Your responsibilities will encompass:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments to identify the nature and extent of students' speech and language disorders.
  • Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans tailored to each student's unique needs.
  • Providing direct therapy services to students individually or in small group settings.
  • Collaborating closely with teachers, administrators, and other professionals to create a supportive learning environment that promotes speech and language development.
  • Participating actively in IEP meetings, offering expert recommendations to ensure students receive the appropriate educational support.
  • Maintaining meticulous records of student evaluations and therapy sessions, ensuring accurate documentation of progress and interventions.
  • Communicating effectively with parents and guardians, providing regular updates on their child's progress and addressing any concerns.

To excel in this role, you will possess:

  • A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or a related field.
  • Active licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the state of Texas.
  • Proven experience working as a School Speech-Language Pathologist, demonstrating a strong understanding of educational best practices and special education regulations.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling you to build rapport with students, families, and colleagues.
