Job Title: Mechanical Engineer

Rotork is seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering department, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing mechanical systems and products that meet our customers' needs.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Fulfill the requirements of the development life cycle from research and concept through to final manufacture.
  • Contribute to project plans to influence project timescales.
  • Undertake design reviews to ensure that Rotork designs and solutions comply with specifications and relevant standards.
  • Respond to stakeholder specifications.
  • Develop and provide cost estimates in collaboration with all business disciplines.
  • Present analysis results and project solutions to key stakeholders as necessary.
  • Develop and execute functional and non-functional test specifications to ensure compliance requirements.
  • Development and preparation of technical records and reports as may be necessary to demonstrate compliance with associated specification and any relevant standards.
  • Design to meet internationally recognised standards.
  • Provision of technical support to key internal and external stakeholders as required.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Mechatronic or Product Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Previous design experience in detailed mechanical design of mechanisms and static structures.
  • Proven experience of designing, problem solving and enhancing existing or new products.
  • Experience of task management, defect management, requirements capture, verification and validation tools.
  • Experience of CAD software, preferably Solidworks.
  • Experience of PDM Systems.
  • Experience in material research and modern part manufacturing techniques.
  • Analysis and simulation of parts / mechanisms using a combination of hand calculations and computational finite element analysis.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience in application of international design standards.
  • Experience in Aluminium / iron casting design, Plastic moulding design, Gear design.
  • Utilisation of advanced computational and simulation techniques.
