Responsibilities:- Operations:
- Assist in managing and coordinating daily operations of the ready mix concrete plant and pre-casting activities, ensuring timely and efficient production and delivery schedules.
- Maintain strict quality standards for concrete production, overseeing testing procedures and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Collaborate with maintenance teams to ensure all equipment and machinery are properly maintained and serviced for optimal performance.
- Fulfill various activities from batching, to plant maintenance, and whatever is required to help keep operations running smoothly, providing backup, expertise, and leadership in all aspects of the concrete operations.
- Play a pivotal role in growing and expanding pre-cast concrete operations to maximize operational efficiency, and expand our infrastructure product offerings, aiding competitive edge to our commercial sitework.
- Sales:
- Actively participate in sales efforts by identifying potential clients, establishing new business relationships, and fostering existing client partnerships.
- Serve as a key point of contact for customers, addressing inquiries, providing technical information, and ensuring customer satisfaction to enhance retention and loyalty.
- Assist in developing and implementing sales strategies, setting sales targets, and contributing innovative ideas to drive revenue growth.
- Stay updated on industry trends, market demands, and competitor activities to identify opportunities for business expansion and differentiation.
- Team Management:
- Provide leadership and guidance to operational and sales teams, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Support the training and development of staff to ensure a skilled and efficient workforce capable of meeting operational and sales objectives.
- Reporting:
- Compile and analyze operational and sales data, preparing regular reports for management review to identify areas for improvement and optimization.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, production outputs, and customer interactions for reporting and future reference.
- Proven experience years in a managerial or supervisory role within the ready mix concrete industry, encompassing both operations and sales responsibilities.
- Strong understanding of ready mix concrete production processes, quality control standards, and sales techniques within the construction materials sector.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and team-building abilities.
- Demonstrated sales and negotiation skills with a track record of achieving or surpassing sales targets.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
Our Ready Mix Concrete Operations team is based in Hampden, ME, and Ellsworth, ME.
