Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Computed Tomography Technologist to join our team at The Arora Group. As a CT Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality medical imaging services to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform a wide range of CT scans, including virtual colonoscopy, multi-phase exams, and coronary angiograms, using advanced multi-detector CT technology.
  • Initialize scans, set parameters, and perform examinations to patients, ensuring accurate and efficient results.
  • Possess knowledge of post-processing measures, such as 3D rendering, Multi-Planar Reconstructions, and calcium score analyses.
  • Assist radiologists and physicians in performing CT examinations, including neurologic, thoracic, abdominal, and angiographic procedures.
  • Confer with radiologists and physicians to establish requirements for non-standard examinations and determine technical factors.
  • Coordinate work with additional technologists when procedures require assistance.
  • Receive, review, and schedule patients for examinations, providing preparation instructions and premedication as necessary.
  • Interpret lab results, evaluate Glomerular Filtration Rate, and determine risk for developing Contrast Induced Nephropathy and/or renal failure.
  • Evaluate the nature of critical/emergency examinations and rearrange patient priorities to accommodate them.
  • Obtain and annotate pertinent medical records/history from patients and staff to determine the most adequate means/equipment needed for advantageous examinations.
  • Receives patients and explains the risks, benefits, procedures, and methods of the examination to minimize patient fears.
  • Ensures that examination preparations are accurately followed, positions patients, and makes exposures necessary to accomplish the examinations requested.
  • Secures venous access and expertly monitors patient's condition during examinations for signs of infiltration or anaphylactic/allergic reactions to contrast and, if necessary, renders emergency aid while following proper emergency code procedures.
  • Ensures patient records are in both the Electronic Health Record (EHR) and Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS) and maintains a permanent record of accomplished scans in a tape library.
  • Notifies radiologists and physicians of the results of examinations to provide preliminary diagnostic evaluations and identifies any significant findings that may require immediate attention and/or visualization.
Qualifications
  • Graduated from an accredited program or military equivalent program in order to meet the education requirements established for the certification(s) listed below.
  • BLS
  • Maintain a current American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) certification as CT Technologist.
  • Minimum of one (1) year experience within the last five (5) years providing services as a certified CT Technologist.
  • Maintain a current Medical Radiologic Technologist license.
  • Must be an US citizen for access to government computers.
