Job Summary

As a Computed Tomography Technologist at CHRISTUS Health, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality diagnostic imaging services to our patients. We are seeking a skilled and compassionate technologist to join our team in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform a variety of diagnostic procedures, including CT scans, utilizing state-of-the-art equipment.
  • Start and maintain intravenous (IV) access and use high-speed, pressurized injection equipment.
  • Evaluate patients for clinical contrast history and potential contraindications.
  • Adhere to established protocols, QA guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
  • Interact effectively with patients and care providers to maintain a high level of patient care and continuity.
  • Rotate within departments and clinics for proper coverage and assist radiologists in invasive and biopsy procedures.
  • Ensure exam rooms are clean and adequately stocked, and maintain Infection Control standards.
  • Accurately code and enter charges.
  • Adapt to assigned patient assessment, treatment, and care methods to accommodate unique needs.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to CHRISTUS Health's Core values.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology Technology or equivalent.
  • 1 year of CT experience in a hospital or clinical setting required; 3 years preferred.
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) in CT required.
  • Current state licensure and BLS (American Heart Association) certification required.
