We are seeking a highly skilled DB2 LUW Database Administrator III to join our team at IGT. As a key member of our database administration team, you will be responsible for managing all levels of the physical database design, maintenance, and support functions on database platforms for all types.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develops and implements database maintenance strategies and scripts.
  • Designs migration paths from older versions of DB2 to the latest releases.
  • Ensures accuracy and availability of data.
  • Establishes policies and procedures pertaining to database management, security, maintenance, and utilization.
  • Analyzes database performance statistics and performs required tuning activities to optimize database performance.
  • Understands database backup/recovery procedures and develops backup scripts.
  • Recommends continuous improvement in database administration.
  • Shared on-call responsibilities in 24 x 7 operation.

Requirements:

  • Four-year degree, or equivalent.
  • 4 years of related experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of SQL and database performance optimization.
  • Experience with DB2, Oracle, MySQL, and SQL Server 2000.
  • OBA experience in multiple operating system environments.
  • Experience with DB2 8.1, 9, 10, 11.
  • Experience with MySql.
  • Experience with Oracle to DB2 migrations.
  • Experience with Ctree is a plus.
  • Experience in optimizing SQL queries generated by ORM frameworks like hibernate.
  • Self-starter.
  • Ability to work with Customers and understand their requirements.
  • Good communicator.
  • Experience working with Enterprise level systems requiring high levels of performance and availability.
  • Experience working with local and remote DB recoveries.

At IGT, we consider a wide range of factors in determining compensation, including background, skills, experience, and work location. These factors can cause your compensation to vary. The estimated starting compensation range is $85,398 - $120,437. The actual pay offered may end up being higher or lower. The Company will comply with all local pay requirements and collective bargaining agreements, where applicable.

In addition, we offer employees a 401(k) Savings Plan with Company contributions, health, dental, and vision insurance, life, accident, and disability insurance, tuition reimbursement, paid time off, wellness programs, and identity theft insurance.
