Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team at Providence Public Schools. As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you will work closely with students, parents, and educators to promote student achievement and provide support for students with communication disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Screen, evaluate, and provide appropriate services to students with communication disorders, including articulation, voice, language, and fluency issues.
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with communication disorders.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers, parents, and other school staff members to implement and integrate therapy strategies across all settings.
  • Participate in school-based problem-solving teams to identify at-risk students experiencing expressive or receptive language delays and assist in designing and implementing research-based interventions.
  • Document observational notes and maintain complete longitudinal records on each student served.
Requirements
  • Masters or equivalency in speech language pathology.
  • RIDE Certification Requirements: PK-12 Speech Language Pathologist, ESL Preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively and cooperatively as a member of the Team of Qualified Professionals and other school-based teams.
  • Good communication and human relations skills.
