We are seeking a highly skilled Field Service Engineer to join our team at Ortho Clinical Diagnostics. As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for installing, operating, maintaining, repairing, and modifying electromechanical equipment in the field.
Responsibilities:- Install, operate, maintain, repair, and modify electromechanical equipment in the field.
- Troubleshoot technical problems and systems issues.
- Determine technical solutions in accordance with product and customer specifications.
- Conduct technical analysis of product implementations, modifications, and enhancements.
- Assess customer needs and recommend solutions in accordance with product specifications.
- Conduct technical training and product briefing with customers, vendors, and company representatives.
- Manage all territory responsibilities, including preventive maintenance and upgrades.
- Minimum of an Associate's degree in Electronics or Electrical/Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent 4 years of military or field service experience.
- Minimum 4 years experience installing, operating, maintaining, repairing, and modifying electromechanical equipment, preferably in the field.
- A team player with self-motivation and ability to interact with peers, sales counterparts, and customers.
- Ability to organize and express ideas clearly, verbally and in writing.
- Technical knowledge and ability to utilize that knowledge to effectively perform required job functions.
- Ability to manage assigned workload within allotted time constraints.
- Ability to lift 75 lbs.
- Valid driver's license.
- Experience within the Healthcare or Medical Device industry.
This is a remote position that offers a company car, gas card, cell phone, and laptop. The Field Service Engineer will be responsible for traveling up to 75% of the time, with occasional overnight travel. The work environment is typical of a field engineer, with a focus on customer-facing work and technical problem-solving.
Salary and Benefits:The salary range for this position is $65,000 to $85,000, with bonus eligibility. QuidelOrtho offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, as well as a 401(k) plan, employee assistance program, Employee Stock Purchase Plan, paid time off, and paid Holidays.
