Job Overview

Position: Overnight Lab Assistant

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain centrifuges and laboratory processing equipment as designated by the Laboratory Services Department.
  • Prioritize safety and quality assurance protocols while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Handle various tasks including accessioning, restocking laboratory supplies, managing biohazard waste disposal, maintaining pending logs, scanning records, and ensuring smooth laboratory workflow.
  • Engage positively with supervisors, management, and colleagues.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
  • Utilize Labdaq and Onco EMR systems for required tasks.
  • Identify and communicate necessary departmental improvements to management.
Qualifications
  • Availability to work overnight shifts.
  • High School Diploma with a minimum of 1 year of experience in laboratory operations preferred.
  • Familiarity with fundamental laboratory procedures and practices.
  • Strong time management abilities.
  • Experience in workflow management.
  • High energy and comfort in performing diverse tasks.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; organized and resourceful.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Work Hours: 8 PM - 4:30 AM
Compensation: Up to $22 per hour.
