About the Role

The Walsh Group is seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team on the SETG MARTA Summerhill BRT Project in Atlanta, GA.

Key Responsibilities
  • Measure and mark guidelines on working surfaces to prepare for laying down work.
  • Prepare, build, and install wooden structures in line with prefabricated units to form bridge, drain structures, walls, and additional structures.
  • Assist with installation of awnings, metal decking for concrete slabs (if decking is removed).
  • Use carpenter's belt with carpentry hand tools, power tools, and other wood making machinery.
Requirements
  • 3-5 years of verifiable experience in carpentry or a related field.
  • Ability to climb and maintain balance on scaffold/ladder.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in adverse weather conditions.
  • Requires the ability to comply with all safety policies and procedures and communicate effectively with co-workers and supervisors.
  • Possess a strong work ethic and desire to learn.
  • Requires good manual dexterity and ability to stand, bend, kneel, or sit for long periods.
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening.
