QC Conveyors is seeking an Assembly Technician responsible for executing both simple and intricate assembly processes, depending on the product specifications. This role typically involves precise fitting, alignment, and adjustment of components to meet stringent tolerances for mechanical assemblies and sub-assemblies. The position may also require handling challenging parts or components, necessitating good dexterity. Utilization of hand and power tools is essential for completing the assemblies, often guided by detailed blueprints, assembly sketches, or similar documents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install components according to specifications using various hand and power tools.
  • Interpret blueprints, process flow instructions, and other written or verbal directives.
  • Adhere to visual and written work instructions to complete tasks within designated timeframes.
  • Maintain quality and productivity standards consistently.
  • Ensure equipment is well-maintained, including daily cleaning, and comply with safety regulations.
  • Support additional projects and perform other assigned duties.
  • Prior experience as an assembler or general laborer in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Familiarity with hand and power tools is required.
  • Ability to read blueprints is advantageous.
  • Willingness to work overtime as needed.
Qualifications:
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Regular and punctual attendance is essential.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Capability to follow established standard operating procedures while ensuring high-quality standards.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Knowledge of shipping applications (UPS, FedEx) is a plus.
  • Physical ability to perform tasks including sitting, walking, reaching, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
  • Forklift operation experience is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of quality assurance practices, including the use of calipers, gauges, and micrometers.
  • Must demonstrate high attention to detail and quality assurance.
  • Ability to read manufacturing drawings and accurately measure product dimensions.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods; lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs; bend, twist, and reach with arms; and demonstrate dexterity with hands and fingers for tasks such as operating a computer keyboard.

Work Environment:
Office and factory shop floor settings.
