Job Title: Principal Systems Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Systems Engineer to join our team at Raytheon. As a key member of our Effectors Systems Design & Architecture (SDA) organization, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining RF and EE-related system and subsystem level requirements and interface specifications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain RF and EE-related system and subsystem level requirements and interface specifications
  • Provide SE technical expertise in RF / EE integration, verification and validation, troubleshooting and failure investigations
  • Lead technical discussions, and formulate plans of action by leveraging company Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) across multiple engineering disciplines
  • Lead technical conversations with the customer and suppliers
Qualifications:
  • Typically requires a Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and eight (8) years of experience in one or more of the following technical domains, OR an Advanced STEM degree and minimum five (5) years of professional experience in the following technical domains:
  • Systems engineering, architecture, and/or design
  • RF Sensor sub-systems requirements, integration, and verification
  • Algorithms and signal processing related to RF subsystems
  • Electronics (RF circuit card assemblies, subassemblies, complete systems) requirements, integration, and verification
  • Configurable Logic / Firmware / VHDL architecture, design, development, integration, and verification related to RF subsystems
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Understanding of and experience across the Systems Engineering Product Development Cycle
  • Ability to perform trade studies to optimize system performance
  • Experience evaluating and mitigating technical risks
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills including experience giving technical briefs or presentations
  • Work experience in a challenging fast-paced environment
  • Experience with Matlab, C, C#, C++, Python
