About the Job

The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team in the Specialty Clinics and Primary Care department. As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care to our nation's Veterans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to adult through geriatric Veterans in an outpatient setting.
  • Implement basic and advanced LPN procedures as defined by policies and procedures.
  • Observe and report changes in patients' physical and emotional conditions.
  • Perform health history screenings and intervene as necessary.
  • Effectively communicate with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to enhance nursing knowledge and skills.
Requirements
  • Graduate of a school of practical or vocational nursing approved by the appropriate State agency and/or accredited by the National League for Nursing [Accrediting Commission (NLNAC)].
  • Full, active, current and unrestricted licensure as a licensed practical or vocational nurse in a State, Territory or Commonwealth (i.e., Puerto Rico) of the United States, or District of Columbia.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
