Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Permanent Controller to join our fast-paced manufacturing organization. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in our financial management team, leading financial operations and contributing to the strategic financial planning of the company.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee and manage all general ledger activity, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in financial reporting.
  • Develop and maintain timely and accurate financial statements and reports in accordance with GAAP.
  • Develop, implement, and ensure compliance with internal financial and accounting policies and procedures.
  • Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, budgets, and forecasts to the executive team.
  • Develop and manage internal control policies, guidelines, and procedures to ensure minimal financial risk.
  • Coordinate the preparation of the corporate annual report, financial audits, and tax returns.
  • Monitor and analyze department work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
  • Provide strategic management of the accounting and finance functions.
  • Direct financial strategy, planning, and forecasts; conferring with the executive management team.
  • Spearhead the annual budgeting and planning process.
  • Work with senior teams to grow the business, formulating strategies and plans.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required. An MBA, CPA, or related designation is highly preferred.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of proven accounting experience, preferably in a senior role within the manufacturing industry.
  • Extensive knowledge of accounting principles and procedures, including budgeting, financial reporting, financial analysis, cost accounting, and strategic planning.
  • Strong understanding of internal controls and financial auditing.
  • Excellent management and supervisory skills.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to present financial information and complex financial concepts to non-financial audiences.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and related systems.
  • Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
  • High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
