Financial Analyst Job Description

Rogers Group, Inc., a leading aggregates and asphalt highway construction company, is seeking a skilled Financial Analyst to join its Nashville, TN corporate office. As a key member of the Financial Planning & Analysis team, you will play a critical role in driving business growth and success.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide business planning and forecasting administration/analysis to support strategic decision-making.
  • Analyze monthly and annual financial results to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Conduct analyses as requested by management to inform business decisions.
  • Interact with Corporate and Operations personnel, as well as external consultants and accounting professionals, to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
  • Administer the planning system, IBM Planning Analytics, to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting, with an MBA preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of total experience required, with proficiency in financial systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Advanced Excel skills, database management, and strong presentation skills are essential.
  • Experience working with IBM Planning Analytics and Oracle is preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills are required.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, work well under pressure, and meet deadlines is essential.
  • Firm understanding of financial statements is necessary.
