Job Overview

Lone Star Blower and Compressor is a leading manufacturer of centrifugal blowers, compressors, and related control systems. We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Supervisor to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team of electrical technicians, supervising and assisting in the execution of tasks such as installations, testing, troubleshooting, and repairing of electrical equipment and devices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of electrical technicians
  • Supervise and assist in the execution of tasks
  • Install and modify electrical machinery, equipment, and circuitry
  • Diagnose cause of electrical or machine malfunctions
  • Collaborate with electrical engineers to solve developmental problems
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance
  • Ensure all electrical components adhere to standards
  • Read, interpret, and follow assembly drawings, diagrams, and schematics
  • Assemble components, position, align, and fasten components to back pans or units
  • Test assembled parts to ensure functionality
  • Find and report any faulty components or hazardous conditions during the assembly process
  • Help in performing electrical assembly tasks
  • Ensure all work performed meets or exceeds quality specifications
  • Prepare all surfaces and components as necessary to ensure no damage occurs during assembly and testing
  • Adhere to all Company policies
  • Follow all quality, environmental, health, and safety programs
  • Attend work per work schedule
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Support electrical work related to facilities maintenance

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in electrical engineering or other related fields or trade school
  • Certification in electrical work
  • Interpret engineering drawings (wiring/GA/MFG)
  • Familiarity with electrical schematics
  • Excellent root cause analysis skills
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask
  • Deadline and detail-oriented
  • Understanding of electrical safety as it pertains to Low and Medium voltage electrical motors
  • Attention to Detail
  • Willingness to learn new skills and process to improve productivity
  • Ability to read, wire, assemble according to schematics, layouts, assembly drawings, and specs
  • Ability to follow directions
  • Works Consistently without distractions

Work Environment:

  • Continually required to stand 8-12 hours
  • Frequently required to walk 8-12 hours
  • Occasionally required to sit
  • Frequently required to utilize hand and finger dexterity
  • Frequently required to climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel, or crawl
  • Frequently required to talk or hear
  • Frequently utilize visual acuity to operate equipment, read technical information, and/or use a keyboard
  • Occasionally required to lift/push/carry items less than 25 pounds/ up to 25 pounds/ up to 50 pounds/ more than 50 pounds
  • Frequently exposure to wet and/or humid conditions (non-weather)
  • Frequently work near moving mechanical parts
  • Occasionally work in high, precarious places
  • Occasionally work around fumes, airborne particles, or toxic chemicals which may require pulmonary fit test and respirator fitting
  • Frequently exposure to outside weather conditions
  • Frequently exposure to extreme heat or cold (non-weather)
  • Frequently loud noise (examples: metal can manufacturing, large earth-moving equipment)
  • Frequently very loud noise (example: jack hammer work)
  • Specialized equipment, machines, or vehicles used

Schedule:

  • Full-Time
  • May need to work outside of normal business hours as needed.
  • Overtime is a regular requirement but is not guaranteed
