Event Server Position Summary

At The Grille at Bridgewater Crossing, we are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Event Server to join our team. As an Event Server, you will play a vital role in ensuring the success of our events by providing top-notch service to our guests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guest Service: Greet guests with a friendly and welcoming attitude, provide exceptional customer service by addressing guest needs and inquiries, and ensure a seamless and enjoyable experience for event guests.
  • Food and Beverage Service: Serve food and beverages efficiently and professionally, follow serving guidelines, and ensure proper food handling and presentation.
  • Set Up and Breakdown: Assist in setting up event spaces, including arranging tables and chairs, and preparing place settings, and participate in post-event cleanup, including clearing tables and storing equipment.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with the kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely and coordinated service, communicate effectively with team members and supervisors, and maintain a professional appearance.
  • Guest Assistance: Assist guests with seating, coat check, and any special requests, address and resolve guest concerns or issues professionally and promptly, and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Safety and Compliance: Follow all safety and health regulations, including alcohol service guidelines, adhere to the dress code, and maintain a professional appearance at all times.
  • Efficiency: Serve guests efficiently, maintain food and beverage supplies, ensure event flow, handle high-pressure situations with grace, and adapt to changes in event schedules.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in a similar role in the hospitality or event industry is a plus.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Professional demeanor, punctuality, and reliability.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift trays or items as required.
  • Knowledge of food and beverage service and safety guidelines.
  • Ramp or equivalent alcohol service certification (if applicable).
