Key Responsibilities
  • Read and interpret technical drawings, diagrams, and specifications to assemble and install components.
  • Align and fit structural assemblies manually to ensure precise fit and finish.
  • Explain assembly procedures and techniques to colleagues and provide guidance on quality control.
  • Perform visual inspections of finished products to identify defects and ensure conformance to specifications.
  • Conduct pre-shift inspections of equipment and report any issues or concerns to supervisors.
  • Operate overhead hoists and mechanical devices to position and secure workpieces.
  • Secure material together using rivet guns, drills, and screws to ensure strong and durable assemblies.
  • Install hoses, wiring harnesses, and electronic components into dashboards and consoles.
  • Mark or tag material with proper identifiers and maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Participate in daily morning meetings, assist with incident investigations, and engage in continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Follow all internal processes and procedures, including incident reporting and quality control.
Requirements
  • Regular and reliable attendance.
  • Ability to stand, kneel, crawl, and work in various positions for extended periods.
  • Ability to manually move product and materials through regular physical exertion, including lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and bending.
  • Must work at a reasonable pace within quality and production standards to completion of tasks while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge and previous use of basic hand and power tools.
  • Manufacturing, production, machinist, or assembly experience.
  • Demonstrated dependability in previous employment.
