About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Water Resources Engineer to join our team in Topeka, KS or Kansas City, MO. As a key member of our hydraulics and hydrology group, you will work under the supervision of a Senior Engineer to support our clients in completing floodplain management, stormwater engineering, and other watershed planning projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform surface water hydrologic and hydraulic modeling using HY-8, HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, XPSWMM, and EPA SWMM software extensions.
  • Support floodplain management, stormwater engineering, drainage engineering, dam and levee design, and stream restoration work.
  • Convey results and findings through oral discussions, graphic-based presentations, and project documentation.
Requirements
  • BS in Civil Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, Biosystems Engineering, or related engineering degree.
  • 1 to 3 years of hydrology/hydraulics and water resources experience.
  • Proficiency in MS Office.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience using HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, EPASWMM, HY-8 software.
  • Experience using ArcGIS, ArcPRO.
  • Experience with MicroStation/Geopak and/or AutoCAD.
